CoolSculpting: The New Go-To Celebrity Procedure

CoolSculpting isn’t a new technology, but it’s currently gaining lots of popularity and recognition from cosmetic experts, fashionistas, and of course, celebrities. Formally widely known as cryolipolysis, the fat freezing procedure has been touted as the best non-surgical process for permanently eliminating stubborn fat deposits. You know, those fat pockets in your thighs, arms, and love handles that simply refuse to go away through exercise and diet.

Celebrities Who May Have Used CoolSculpting Procedure

A recent post in the Huffington Post implies most Hollywood celebrities have undergone the CoolSculpting procedure.

Kris Jenner famously underwent the CoolSculpting procedure in an episode of Keeping Up With the Kardashians. Supermodel Molly Sims is another personality who swears by the procedure. She underwent CoolSculpting after the birth of her second child. Actress Debra Messing (TV series Will & Grace) is a huge fan of the procedure.

Jennifer Aniston, Khloe Kardashian, Mariah Carey, and Lindsay Lohan are some of the A-listers who have reportedly found remarkable success with CoolSculpting.

How CoolSculpting Works

Depending on the size of area to be treated, the doctor will choose an appropriate CoolSculpting applicator. This is basically a rounded paddle that suctions your skin to freeze the underlying fat cells.

Fat cells die faster than skin cells. Thus, the adjacent cells and tissues will recover while the fat cells will be permanently damaged. Once they die, they will be naturally removed from the body through the lymphatic system over a period of weeks (up to 6 months).

Suitable Candidates

CoolSculpting is not for everyone. If you are obese, or have thick skin, or your skin isn’t likely to rebound well after the procedure, then CoolSculpting may not be your best option. CoolSculpting works best for someone already lean, who’s looking for mild improvements to their figure.

Expectations and Results

You’ll likely achieve optimal results only after a few treatment sessions. With the correct treatment plan, you can shed off up to 25% of fat within the target treatment area. You can expect a firmer figure, better toning, less bulging, and an improved waistline.
